Shrove Tuesday was traditionally the day to use up the fat, eggs and sugar that you weren't supposed to eat during the Lent Fast. That's why in some cultures it's celebrated as Mardi Gras (Mardi - Tuesday and Gras - Fat). So the traditional food of Shrove Tuesday is.... Pancakes!
Come and join us at South Arm United Church for Pancake Supper - please contact South Arm to let them know you're coming so they'll have enough pancakes. We contribute to the church "by donation" as much or little as you can afford. All are welcome
Season of Lent begins February 26, 2020).
