We welcome Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdowned as our guest speaker this morning.  Carmen will be speaking on our relationship to the Land, as part of our Year of Welcome/Affirm Process regarding relationships.  Carmen's heritage as a Heiltsuk woman, and her Ph.D. in Eco-Theology give her unique insights into our struggles with our relationship to the land.  It has been said that much of 21st Century anguish can be traced to our sense of isolation and dislocation.  Carmen's work as the Director of First United Church on Vancouver's Downtown Eastside provide her with an immediate understanding of the brokenness that results from these things.

We have invited her to speak on Palm/Passion Sunday when Christians gather to acknowledge that we live between Triumphant entries and fear and death.  Should be interesting!!!

Children are welcome to our special children's program with our Minister Kerry Child.  They'll be focusing on Palm Sunday.

Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter and marks the beginning of Holy Week. Jesus rode a donkey into Jerusalem. A large crowd gathered and laid palm branches as they greeted him. "Blessed is he who comes in the ame of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!" Join us as we worship and hear this important story through song and reflection.
