Once a month, Retirees from the community and congregation gather for a program and of course, tea. The program includes guest speakers and hymn singing while goodies for the tea are provided by a group of dedicated volunteers.
In the past, we have had speakers from the GOGO Grannies, CHIMO, Home Care Nursing (once talking about staying safe at home, another time how to look after one's feet), the Food Bank, church members giving travelogues on exotic places, the art of rug making, the ancient art of embroidery and local artists demonstrating how to paint and draw.
The Retiree's Tea is a very popular and successful seniors' ministry which takes place on the second Monday of the month at 2 pm.
